Thank you for visiting Will Design For Chocolate!    To learn about my other creative endeavors, my debut historical romance novel, Something About Her and my WIP Notebook, now available, please visit my other website: www.jeannieruesch.com.  I am also available for workshops – please see below for what I can offer your organization.

I have had a love affair of almost fifteen years history with marketing and design, from the very first website I created to every marketing class I learned from.

My marketing background ensures the designs I create for you won’t just be appealing visually, they will WORK. Good design isn’t just pretty, it’s effective.  It means websites with solid functionality, quick and easy clicks and marketing and promotional materials that not only catch the eye, but feel good in your hand and compel someone to read them.  Designing all elements of your needs, from website to bookmark to newsletter, should be done with one goal –action –in mind. You want to build your audience. You want your readership to grow.   You want to create a brand — a perception — in the minds and hearts of your readers.

Great design can help you achieve that goal, because all of your elements — your website, your bookmarks and everything in between — work together to create your brand.

Your Brand is Your Promise.

My Promise to you: You’ll love what we accomplish together.

Check out my services offered as well as my portfolio of work – both for writers and other businesses – to get an idea of my abilities.  I’m working on offering a fuller set of services and products — including pre-designed “quick” options and branding packages – to meet the needs of authors at every stage of your career.   Whether you’re on a tiny budget, have time constraints or have the desire and ability to have a website created just for you, I can meet your needs.

 Workshops/Speaking Engagements

Are you looking for a speaker for your next organization’s meeting or conference?  I love to chat marketing with other writers (and groups in general!)  I offer over 15 years of marketing and design experience, as well as plenty of experience working with authors to establish good, solid design and marketing needs.  Please feel free to contact me.  The workshops I offer include:

Brand: The Little Black Dress of Marketing

What is your brand? How can you dress it up and make it work for you? This workshop discusses what brand is, what it isn’t and how it applies to your work, your name and all of your marketing efforts — all with a very relatable comparison.   (A 1-2 hour workshop, with Q&A and interactive discussion.)

Deconstructing A Book Video

Book Videos are becoming a staple in an author’s marketing kit.  But what makes them work? Why do they work? Why do they fail? This workshop takes a series of book videos and opens them up for detailed discussion on how they achieve their goals — we break down the videos from script to imagery to music and focus in on the one thing every book video needs to succeed.  (A 1 -2 hour workshop, with Q&A and very interactive discussion.)
